Common questions
How much does a private GP appointment cost in London?
Ours is £89, in person or by video, rising to £109 for evenings and weekends. Across central London, private GP consultations generally range from about £90 to £200. There is no registration or membership fee with us, and prescriptions, sick notes and referrals are included.
Do I need to register with you?
No. There is no registration, no membership and no joining fee. You book the appointment you need, when you need it.
Will this replace my NHS GP?
No. We work alongside your NHS practice rather than instead of it. You stay registered where you are.
Can you prescribe, and does it cost extra?
Yes. Our doctors prescribe as any GP would, and there is no charge for the prescription itself. For video consultations we send an electronic prescription to your chosen pharmacy at no extra cost. You pay the pharmacy for the medication.
How quickly can I be seen?
Same-day appointments are usually available, including evenings and weekends.
Do you do home visits in London?
Yes. A home visit within a mile of the clinic is £250, and £450 further afield. Out-of-hours visits are £650, and a visit with a nurse in attendance is £200 more.
Do you take private medical insurance?
We do not bill insurers directly. You pay at the time of your appointment and we provide a detailed itemised invoice for your claim. Most major insurers reimburse private GP consultations, but check your policy for outpatient cover.
Can I get same-day STI results?
Yes. Chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are reported in four to six hours. Attend in the morning and you will usually know the same afternoon.
Do I need a consultation before a blood test?
Yes. Every test is ordered by a doctor after a consultation, so the right tests are chosen and the results are properly explained.
What happens to my medical records?
Your records are held securely and confidentially. With your consent we can share a summary with your NHS GP. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.
