Waiting is the worst part
Most private testing means a swab, a courier and several days of checking your phone. Home kits are worse: you post the sample and wait a week.
We process six infections on the same day. Come in during the morning and you will usually have your results by the afternoon, explained properly by the doctor who took them.
If anything is positive, we treat you here. You are not handed a result and left to arrange the rest yourself.

Book as early in the day as you can if you want results the same afternoon. Call us if you are unsure whether there is time.
Timing
Is it too soon to test?
A same-day result is only useful if enough time has passed since the exposure.
Come in straight away if
You have symptoms (discharge, pain passing urine, sores, ulcers or a rash), or you have had sex with someone who has tested positive. In both cases we test and treat without waiting for the window to pass.
High-risk exposure in the last 72 hours?
Testing now will not tell you anything useful, and you may need PEP, medication that greatly reduces the chance of HIV taking hold, which must be started within 72 hours. We do not provide PEP. Common questions
Can I really get STI results the same day?
Yes, for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Samples taken in the morning are usually reported in four to six hours. Book as early as you can if you want the result the same afternoon.
Can I be tested today?
Same-day appointments are usually available, including Saturday mornings. Call 0207 207 6919 if nothing suitable shows online.
Where are you?
28–29 Wilcox Close, London SW8 2UD. The nearest stations are Nine Elms (Northern line) and Vauxhall (Victoria line and National Rail).
How much does same-day testing cost?
£109 for chlamydia and gonorrhoea, £229 for a standard screen adding HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B, and £229.95 for bloods only. All in addition to the £89 consultation.
Which tests are not same day?
Herpes, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, gardnerella, trichomonas and HPV are processed at the laboratory and take two to five days.
Do you test throat and rectal swabs?
Yes, and they come back the same day too. Infections at those sites are common and are missed entirely by tests that only sample urine.
What if a result is positive?
We arrange treatment the same day where possible, and talk through notifying partners. You are not referred elsewhere.
Will my NHS GP be told?
Not without your consent. Certain infections are notifiable to public health authorities by law, and we will explain if that applies.
Do I need a consultation as well?
Yes. Testing follows an £89 consultation, charged in addition to the test. That is what makes sure the right tests are done at the right time, and it covers going through the results and arranging treatment.
